If you do not have the DS, the DS Lite is better than a large initial investment.

With the DS Lite, game made little simplar. The button placement and brighter screen make a game a little better. This makes handling some functions (especially for GBA games) a lot easier.

DS Lite also comes with a truly GBA cartridge (called a “close”).

Perhaps the most welcome changes to the DS Lite is the screen. Original DS screen is not exactly bright. In fact, he compared with the DS Lite, a bit dark. You can play the DS Lite as long as you played the original. Display more protected here. Stylus that does not scratch the screen that is easy. In other words, the touch screen lasts a lot longer.

The DS Lite also looks better, and fit in your pocket better. He is also doing all the routine tasks DS.

Some problems with the original DS still plague the DS Lite however. You still can not play Game Boy Color or regular Game Boy games on the DS Lite. In addition, you still can not configure the controls to play a GBA game much easier. In other words, you can not configure “X” and “Y” when you play a GBA game. Also, still have the touch screen sensitivity. Touching the touch screen with empty hands more dangerous than the stylus scratching the screen.

When the original DS launched, owners will note that it does not have very many good games availible. About the only good during the year 2004 has started Super Mario 64 DS.

DS can not play movies, or MP3 player, but must be honest, that almost defeats the purpose of a gaming system. Of course not, I want to find a system to play some games on me, and Nintendo DS. For casual gamers, Nintendo gives the DS and DS Lite is a fine improvement.

The Bad
- It fits a little awkwardly in-hand
- You must buy the protective screen (the stylus can be up to the beginning of the bottom screen pretty badly)
- In several games, with the stylus block your view of the various parts of the screen
- The Onyx-Black looks cool, but get very blurry with the finger print

The goods are nothing compared with the bad. I highly recommend it.
